Mandalay – Bagan – Inle – Yangon ( 7 days / 6 nights )
Day 01: Arrival Day at Yangon ( D ) Morning flight
Arrive at Yangon International Airport by morning flight, meet by our representative and transfer to hotel for check in. Proceed for Yangon sightseeing visit: Kaba Aye (World Peace) Pagoda Maha Pasana Cave : Buddha Tooth Relic Pagoda, Sule Pagoda to take a photo shot for a panoramic view of city; Mahabandoola Park with Independent Monument , have a memorable scene of Colonial Building; Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon sightseeing at Chaukhtatkyi Reclining Buddha; Nga Htut Gyi Pagoda, Wood, Ruby and Jade carving workshop ; have pleasant walk around the bank of Lake Inya to enjoy local people way of life and with lush greenery and gentle breeze. Visit Shri Kali Temple , its a Hindu temple located in the undefined Little India in downtown Yangon , Burma . It was built by Tamil migrants whilst Burma Province was part of British India . The temple is noted for its colorful architecture, especially its roof, which contains images and stone carvings of many Hindu gods. The temple is maintained by the local Indian community. Early evening visit to Shwedagon Pagoda (Land mark of Yangon ) - 2500 years old the world famous sputa having a beautiful sun-set. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 02: Yangon – Mandalay by flight ( B )
Morning, breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to airport for the flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival, excursion to Amarapura - an ancient capital of Myanmar, where we can observe the life of over 1000 monks at Mahagandaryon Monastery & silk weaving factory. Proceed to Ava and visit by horse carts to Maenu Okkyaung Monastery - built by the chief queen in 1818, Nan Myint Tower - 27 meter masonry high, Bargayar Monastery - well known for its wood carving with 267 teak pillars. Come back to Mandalay and visit Mahamuni Buddha Image - one of the most sacred Buddha Images in Myanmar. Continue visiting of traditional handicraft workshops such as, marble carving, gold leaves beating, Kuthodaw Pagoda – the world biggest book, Shwenandaw (Golden Palace) Monastery – the finest of wood carving, etc. Finally enjoy the sunset on top of Mandalay Hill where we can admire the beauty of Mandalay City, Shan Plateau, etc. Come back to hotel and leisure. Overnight in Mandalay.
Day 03: Mandalay - Bagan by flight ( B )
Morning fly to Nyaung U airport ( 07:40 am – 08:10 am ), arrive at Nyaung U. Proceed for sightseeing, starting with the busy Nyaung Oo local market and continuing with visits to a diverse selection of the most important Pagodas and temples, such as Shwezigon Pagoda, built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century, Kyansit-tha Umin ( Not far from the Shwezigon pagoda, a cave complex off the tourist route, it has murals from the 13th century. ). Gubyauk Gyi, a temple with exquisite murals of Jataka scenes, and Ananda Temple with four huge standing Buddha images and numerous seated figures in niches around the galleried interior. Then visit Htilominlo Pagoda, built in A.D. 1211 by King Nantaungmya and Khay Min Ga Temple. After lunch, visit lacquer workshop to learn about the fascinating technique of this art. Visit the famous Thatbyinnyu Pagoda constructed by King Alaung Sithu and Shwegugyi Temple also known as "Nandaw Oo Paya" built by King Alaungsithu in 1140 A.D. Sunset from Shwedandaw Stupa. Day 04: Bagan – S/S ( B )
Early morning wake up from your night dream and you will be picked up by BALLOON OVER BAGAN ferry to fly by balloons; “Ride balloon over Bagan to feel the panoramic view of ancient Bagan” Experience Bagan by flying at the sky, after your flying back to your hotel for having breakfast.
Breakfast at hotel. (09:00) am, pick up by guide and tour start sightseeing in Archaeological Museum, (this museum run by Archaeological Department is situated near the Ananda Temple. It has a collection of more than 2000 items including Buddha’s Statues, stucco pieces, terra-cotta cups and pots. Open from 09:30 am to 15:00 pm daily except Monday and public holidays. The new large museum is under construction and it will exhibit more ancient artifacts.
Nanpaya Temple, one of the oldest ancient monuments in Bagan, built by King Manuha in 11 century equipped with stone window for lighting and airy into the interior part of the cave with stone Shinbin Thalyaung Temple, inside this long, low hall of brick is a large reclining Buddha Image in the pose of death, for the head rests on a pillow and is not supported by the hand. Excursion to Lacquer wear factory and sightseeing and shopping the ancient time till today, master-pieces of Lacquer wares are the pride of Bagan. Those who visited Bagan can’t control anymore without buying souvenirs such as ashtrays, bowls, jewellery boxes, trays and so on. Lunch at local restaurant.
After lunch , sightseeing features Myazedi Pagoda and Pillar and Myingabar Kybyaukkyi, ( It was built by Prince Rajakuma who was content to allow his nephew, Alaung Sithu, to be named crown prince instead of him, for the had been born to a country woman and came too late to court. The stone inscription he left is a beautiful dedication of love to his father, King Kyansit – Tha. The murals, protected from sunlight inside this drink temple, are spectacular. )
Dhammayangyi ( a temple of massive and finest brick works), Gawtawpalin ( King Narapati Situ built this graceful temple ), Sulamuni Temple, ( the pagoda temple like Htilominlo and the Gawdawpalin with better interior lighting. It stands beyond the Dhammayangyi Temple and was built in A.D. 1181 by Narapatisithu. The interior was once painted with fine frescoes but only traces can be seen today.). Panoramic view of sun setting land Bupaya Pagoda ( Not far from Gawtawpalin is a pagoda spire in the shape of a gourd in the bank of Ayeyarwady river. Dinner and overnight in Bagan.
Day 5: Bagan - Inle by flight ( B )
Morning check out hotel and drive to airport, fly to Heho airport for your Inle trip. ( 08:05 am – 09:30 am ). And the scenic hill country around Inle Lake. Enjoy the magnificent country scenery as we ascend into the hill country of the Shan tribes. Minorities make up a good portion of Burma’s population and today we hope to visit a village to see some of the Pa O people, who still wear their traditional dress. We proceed to Inle Lake, for its floating gardens, village life on and by the lake and the lifestyles of the Intha people, who migrated here in the 14th century. Finding no land on which to settle, they established their homes on the water, creating floating islands made of reeds and grass. The men are noted for the unique way they paddle with their legs, leaving their arms free for fishing. This afternoon we will explore the lake by long boat visiting the Phaung Daw U Pagoda with 5 images of Buddha which have become gold leaf balls and the Jumping Cat monastery.
Day 6 : INLE LAKE – Yangon by flight ( B )
Breakfast at hotel. Our day begins with a visit to the 5 Day Market, an ideal place to see minorities in traditional dress. Continue visit Nampan Village to see traditional cigar and canoe making and to visit a local home before visiting the silk weaving centre of Inn Paw Khone. Lunch at Inthar Lay restaurant ( Traditional Innthar food ). Afternoon, check out hotel and drive to Heho airport, back to Yangon ( 15:48 pm – 18:25 pm ). Arrive at Yangon airport, proceed to Myanmar Buffet Dinner and cultural show at Karaweik Palace Restaurant. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 7: Departure day ( B )
Breakfast at hotel. Free activities. Pick up and drive to airport for departure.
